ChuckyG's Desert Island Albums

The best discs of all time. The albums I can't possibly do without. I'm not limiting myself to just ten or some other arbitrarily number. It's helpful for me to be able to see at a glance the albums I know best for instance where I want to take a smaller subset of my collection somwhere but don't just want my favorite songs. Alpha-sorted, no ranking.

Greatest hits albums are also included, marked with an asterisk*. It's "cooler" to exclude greatest hits collections, but some groups are strictly singles groups or have very uneven albums. Not to mention I can think of plenty of examples of really bad greatest hits collections for some performers.

Rough first pass is completed. Going to remove some of these albums once I give them another look over. I also seem to be missing some pretty well known performers, so I know there's still more to be added. Once the list is completed I will add some commentary as well.
